The historical province of Normandy, named after the Normans lies along the northern coast of France by the English Channel. Cherbourg, Rouen, and Le Havre are some of the larger cities in Normandy. Le Havre is the port that shipped out the Merci Boxcars aboard the Magellan on route to New York back in 1949. It is also the port that received the Friendship Train from the United States in 1947.
