Lunar New Year 2025

If your Chinese Zodiac sign is the Serpent, then 2025 is your year! The Nevada State Museum is once again celebrating the Lunar New Year in downtown Carson City on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Activities begin at the Nevada State Museum with Chinese noisemaker crafts on the first-floor landing at 9:30 a.m., followed by a theatrical performance by the Carson Valley Chinese Cultural Group in the Dema Guinn Concourse at 10 a.m. Festivities culminate at 11 a.m. with the traditional Lion Dance parade leading a procession to the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, where the cultural fun continues. All of the activities in the Dema Guinn Concourse are free. Admission to the Museum galleries is $10 for adults and free for members and children 17 and younger.
