Dia de Los Muertos Celebration at the Nevada State Museum

Day 1: Ofrenda Presentation

Kick off the festivities with a special ofrenda presentation in the Dema Guinn Concourse. Explore several intricately designed ofrendas, each telling the story of departed loved ones and offering a warm welcome to their spirits. Enjoy the flavors of Pan de Muerto, Pan Dulce, and Abuelita hot chocolate, while live music by Milton Merlos fills the concourse. Admission is free.

Day 2: Dia de Los Muertos Festival

Saturday, November 2, 2024
| 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Be part of the museum’s biggest cultural event of the year with campus-wide live entertainment and activities. Enjoy folk dance, live music, face painting, arts and crafts, and delicious street food. Admission is free all day!


5 – 7 p.m.
The celebration continues in the evening with a special concert at the Brewery Arts Center.
